DAY 1

BUENOS AIRES

Upon arrival you will be met by our representatives who will assist your transfer to the Hotel.
Half day City Tour: Four Balconies
This Cosmopolitan city can be a superlative introduction to an exploration of Argentina. European in appearance, Buenos Aires can keep any culture-oriented visitor busy indefinitely. Whatever the date of arrival there will be chances to participate in cultural events, or be delighted with the best polo in the world, excellent football / soccer or time to enjoy the local gaucho game of “pato”, a sort of basketball on horseback.

DAY 2

DELTA DEL TIGRE

Full day to Explore the Delta del Tigre.

The “Puerto de Frutos” (fruit port) is now a crafts fair located in the old fruit market by the riverside.  Antiques shops, riverside restaurants and pubs, an amusement park and its renowned natural beauty make Tigre a popular tourist destination throughout the year.

DAY 3

BUENOS AIRES/ SALTA

Transfer to domestic airport to fly to Salta and then transfer to the hotel.
During the afternoon, a 3-hour visit to Salta, one of the oldest cities founded in the country by the Spanish conquerors. Its cultural heritage, the Colonial architecture, a rich artisan tradition, folk rhythms and exquisite regional food mixed with contemporary arts movements contribute to the incredible experience.
A visit to MAAM – Museo de Arqueología de Alta Montaña (Museum of High Altitude Archaeology- MAAM) is included.
Then you will do a Hike in San Lorenzo.

DAY 4

SALTA/ TILCARA

Transfer to Tilcara, the favorite village of Humahuaca of all visitors. Within walking distance (a short trek outside town) is the Pucará, a restored pre-Columbian fort which offers spectacular views. The access fee (to be paid locally) includes the access to the Museo Arqueologico which houses an excellent and diverse collection of artifacts and offers insight into native cultural beliefs.

DAY 5

TILCARA

A full day expedition enjoying the multicolored landscape of the Humahuaca canyon, the peaceful villages, old chapels, native markets, small museums, and the remains of an ancient pre-Inca fortified town.
We will go to Purmamarca, the base town from where to explore the amazing Cerro de los Siete Colores. This polychromatic mountain (considered an artist’s palette of colors) is best seen from a hill on the edge of the village, and is a backdrop of this enchanted village where you will be able to enjoy the most interesting purchases in the local market.
We will then start our exploration driving towards a huge salt deposit (SALINAS GRANDES), where we will appreciate the rudimentary exploitation of the salt riding bikes.

DAY 6

TILCARA/ SALTA

For 5000 years the Andean inhabitants have been using the llamas as pack animals. You will walk following those ancient paths and fulfilling yourselves with the spirit that only the hills and the amazing landscape can offer. Through this path you will reach unique places around Tilcara and the area beyond.
Climbing through the canyons we reach the vast Puna Highlands, 3400 m (11000 ft) above sea level. There, among the yellowish pastures, numerous vicuña herds can be seen as well as families of llama herdsmen living according to ancient traditions in the most favorable places.
Transfer back to Salta.

DAY 7

SALTA/ IGUAZÚ

Morning for leisure until the time for your transfer to the airport to fly to Iguazu.
Upon arrival you will have a transfer to the hotel.

DAY 8

IGUAZÚ

Full day exploring the amazing Iguazu falls in a private car. After a first stop at the visitor’s center we will board a fun small train which connects the most interesting areas of the park: the Upper and lower trails and the Devil´s Throat.
Navigation upstream the Iguazu River to approach the amazing Devil´s Throat, the most imposing of the falls.
Afternoon return to the hotel.

DAY 9

IGUAZÚ / PUERTO VALLE

Transfer from Iguazu to Puerto Valle.
Sitting on the banks of the Paraná River, the six rooms exclusive posada is the perfect place to relax after the long drives in Argentina. Guests can enjoy the peacefulness of Puerto Valle from a bungalow overlooking the river, a shady hammock, the open air bar or the gourmet restaurant, all located in beautifully manicured grounds.
You will have a free day to enjoy the lodge.
Puerto Valle´s off-the-beaten-track location promises undiscovered attractions such as the Iberá Marshlands, the Paraná River, nearby caiman farm and surrounding rainforest.
