Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1

TRANSFER FROM AIRPORT

Upon arrival you will be met by our representatives who will assist your transfer to the Hotel.

DAY 2

TIWANAKU RUINS AND LA PAZ CITY TOUR

AM. Passengers are picked up from the hotel to visit the epic city of Tiwanaku.
In this ancient breathtaking city we will visit the Kalasasaya(Sun) temple, Semi Subterranean (Earth) Temple, Akapana Pyramid, and the legendary Sun Gate, followed by a visit to a pre Incan museum. The tour continues to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. The tour ends with a visit to the Moon Valley where passengers will have the opportunity to walk around and visit a ceramic workshop.
PM. In the afternoon you will have a tour of La Paz City.
You will head to the Witch Doctor’s Market, San Francisco Colonial Church and then continue to Plaza Murillo. You will then visit the famous colonial street Jaen, followed by a visit to the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture.

DAY 3

TITICACA LAKE

You will have an early  transfer to Copacabana to visit the sanctuary and then continue on a cruise on board a catamaran to the Sun Island; the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. You will have a buffet lunch on board and head to the Challapampa Village.  Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with one of the most unspoiled indigenous Titicaca communities, visit their museum, chapel, school, a typical house,  and sail in their vessels to an Inca holy temple. At night you will have a candlelit dinner and overnight on board the Catamaran with lake views from the  cabins, all of them with private facilities.

DAY 4

SUN ISLAND + INTI WATA COMPLEX - CHUA – LA PAZ

The Catamaran Cruise Ship will sail across the lake while you enjoy breakfast with a panoramic view of the Lake and the Cordillera Real. You will visit the Pilko Kaina Inca Palace and the Inti Wata Cultural Complex which includes: the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine center and the Titicaca Reed Shipbuilders Display Center.  You will also visit the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac Andean Camelid place and view point.
Later you will visit the Inca Garden, the Inca steps and the Inca fountain. This visit also includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titicaca traditional reed vessel.
You will have Buffet lunch onboard while sailing to Chua harbor where you will receive a private transfer to La Paz city.

DAY 5

UYUNI LAGOON SALT FLAT

Transfer to the airport with a local bilingual guide.
Arrival by plane to Uyuni.  You will start in Colchani to appreciate salt handicrafts and then you will visit the Salt piles, the salt eyes in Salt Flat, as you drive to Incahuasi Island. Afterwards you will continue to Ojo Perdiz passing by the  Galaxias cavern, the Ollague Viewpoint and the small lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Chiar Khota and Ramaditas.
You will visit the train cemetery, the Colchani village where it is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand, the salt eyes, and then cross the salt flat to enjoy a beautiful landscape.

DAY 6

OJO DE PERDIZ

Early departure and visit to the Stone Tree, Red Lagoon, the Sol de Mañana Geysers, the thermal waters of Polques, the Dali Desert, the Green Lagoon the Valley of the Rocks and the authentic towns of Alota and San Cristobal.
In the evening arrival to Colchani.

DAY 7

POTOSÍ

You will drive from Uyuni to Potosi through a private transfer.
While in Potosi, a cultural world heritage, you will have time for sightseeing and visiting the most interesting places of the city.  You will then visit San Lorenzo Church where you will appreciate its beautiful façade, the Casa de la Moneda Museum, the exterior of the Tower of Company, the exterior of the Arch of Cobija and the artisans market in the colonial area of the city.
After visiting Potosi you will continue to Sucre.

DAY 8

SUCRE + DINOSAURS FOOTPRINTS

Visit the House of Freedom Historical Museum,  the Convent of San Felipe de Nery or  La Recoleta viewpoint, the facades of the churches of San Lazaro, and Santo Domingo;  the main historical monuments and Bolivar Park
You will visit the dinosaurs footprints of Cal Orko, located 5 km from Sucre.  This archaeological site is one of the most important in the world due to the great variety and quantity of dinosaur footprints, which lived approximately 65 million years ago.

DAY 9

TARABUCO

Tarabuco is a well known village, due to the beautiful hand-made textiles and the unique Tarabuqueno traditions and customs.  Men wear short pants, sandals, elaborated woven ponchos, and decorative monteras (leather helmets). All of these cultural curiosities are magnificently displayed every Sunday at the local market. Locals and tourists alike flock here to display, sell, and purchase goods produced in the town and surrounding communities.
