DAY 1-4

Atacama Desert

Upon arrival you will have a transfer from the Calama Airport to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. Here you will visit different attractions near the area. Some of them are:

The Valley of the Moon, a depression surrounded by small hills with impressively sharp peaks.

The Tatio Geysers, where you can witness a geothermal center with geysers as the sun comes up.

The Puritama Hot Springs, a series of eight large pools of thermal water that come from the salt mountain.

The Altiplanic Lagoons, part of the largest salt flats in Chile and include one of the largest flamingo reserves in the country.

The Astronomy Observatory, where a guide will help you identify the planets, galaxies and the major stars and constellations of the southern sky, with the aid of a professional laser pointer.

DAY 5-6

Santiago de Chile

You will be collected from your hotel to explore the historical and modern sights of Santiago de Chile. You will visit La Moneda, the Government Palace; where your guide will explain the historical and current importance of this place. You will also head to “Plaza de Armas”; the famous main square of the city, “Bellavista”; the highest hill in town, and finally the antique shops in the Providence.

DAY 7-8

Winery Tour, Lapostolle Villa

Lapostolle was founded by the Marnier Lapostolle family in 1994. They have been involved in winemaking for generations. Its objective is as simple as it is ambitious: to create world-class wines using French expertise in the superb lands of Chile.

DAY 9-17

Antarctica Cruise

Eight days to explore the pristine wilderness of the Antarctic Peninsula; a finger of land separating the ice-choked waters of the Weddell and Bellingshausen Seas. You will sail through scenic waterways, witnessing a breathtaking panorama of icebergs, glaciers, and snow-capped mountains. You will also cruise among ice floes on board a zodiac, land near penguin rookeries, and visit scientists at research stations.

DAY 18

Serrano and Balmaceda Glaciers

Upon arrival to Serrano Glacier you will take a short hike to the very top of the glacier for the views. The Monte Balmaceda is 2,035 m. (6,674 ft.) high, worthy of admiration. You will see the Balmaceda Glacier melting into the sea. Like most of the world’s glaciers, it has been melting and retreating for more than 15 years.

DAY 19-23

Torres Del Paine National Park

In the morning you will head, by car, to Torres del Paine National Park to leave your bags at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel. While staying there you can choose the activities of your preference:

Trek to Las Torres: The famous Torres del Paine (2,900 m. / 9,400 ft.) consists of three gigantic granite monoliths, the remains of a great cirque sheared away by the forces of glacial ice.

Trek to Laguna Azul: Laguna Azul is like a mirror of water that reaches a depth of 56 m and 560 m in diameter, and it gets its name due to its intense color that’s caused by the absence of suspended material.

Trek to Grey Lake Glacier: you can enjoy an extraordinary biological diversity and exotic flora of this area, found along the trail.

DAY 24-26

El Calafate, Argentinean Patagonia

You will have a private ride to El Calafate where you will enjoy the activities that Helsingfors Hotel offers. You will walk through valleys and up rivers. After crossing a lush wood of Lengas, you will see the brilliant Laguna Azul. You will also visit the Lagunas del Morro, accessing remote landscapes or navigating through the Moyano, where you will be able to enjoy nature and practice trout fishing.

DAY 27

Perito Moreno with Ice Trek

You will do a two hour circuit with a fascinating landscape of the glaciers: streams, small lagoons, gullies, crevasses and plenty of ice formations of the most incredible blues. The ice trekking is moderate. The ice surface over which you walk is irregular, but firm and safe.

Later you will continue to the balconies from where you will see the Perito Moreno Glacier carving down as it continues to move towards land.

DAY 28

Buenos Aires and Departure Flight

You will have the city tour of Buenos Aires. It will give you insights into everything there is to know about this fascinating city. You will visit some famous landmarks, such as the historic downtown, and the 4 balconies tour: Plaza de Mayo, Parque Lezama and La Boca, Plaza San Martin and Recoleta. You will have a Tango show accompanied by a tasty dinner in the Esquina Carlos Gardel restaurant.

Your last day you will board your flight back home or onto your next adventure.
